The Bombay High Court on Tuesday observed, after the Maharasthra Government opposed the writ plea filed by Param Bir, that there is no urgency to hear the plea of the former Mumbai Police Commissioner against the preliminary inquiries initiated against him and the same can be adjudicated by the Central Administrative Tribunal.
The Maharasthra Government led by Uddhav Thackeray opposed the writ plea saying it infructuous and non maintainable on the ground that the DGP, Sanjay Pandey has rescued from the probes against Singh.
Singh also challenged the first probe against him which was the directory of the state to the DGP, Pandey to initiate the case probe against him in regard to Ambani bomb scare case.
The second inquiry against him was initiated on the basis of the allegations made against Singh by inspector Anup Dange. Dange was suspended from the services last year and was recently reinstated.
Now, the next date of the hearing is fixed to June 9 by a division bench of justice S S Shinde and justice Manish Pitale.
