Delhi moving towards ‘herd immunity’ against COVID-19: Health Minister

Citing a survey conducted by Sero, Delhi Health Minister said that Delhi’s crowd is moving towards ‘herd immunity’. Jain said that about 56 of every 100 people in Delhi have developed antibodies against COVID-19.

He said:-

“The latest Sero Survey shows that about 56 per cent of people have developed antibodies against COVID-19. We should not get into discussions over herd immunity. Everyone should follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour including wearing masks and sanitizing hands regularly.”

This survey was conducted from 15 Jan to 23 Jan. This was also the largest survey in the country so far, and for doing so it used latest technology. Over 28,000 samples were collected during the survey.
