50K imposed on Investigating Officer of Jaipatna Police Station



Recently Orissa High Court imposed Rs. 50,000 on Investigating Officer of Jaipatna Police Station because of non-production of the case diary.

On 8th September, High Court Order Superintendent of Police, Kalahandi, for producing the case diary. Court also directed on taking the action against the Investigating Officer and for filing the report in this regard.

Despite the order by the Court, no report was filed by the Superintendent. The Court issued the notice to the Superintendent.

On September 24th the court ordered that if the cause affidavits along with the diary are not received then the court will take coercive steps against the Superintendent and Investigating Officer.
