Anticipatory bail granted to MP of Janshakti Party Prince Paswan by Delhi HC in a rape case

In September 2021, the FIR was lodged against the Janshakti Party MP Prince Paswan in the rape case Under Section 376, 376(2), 506, 201, 120(B), of the Indian Penal Code. The women moved to the Parliament Street Police Station in May after which in September the court issued the direction to complain.

The woman accused Prince Paswan contending that in 2020 she was molested by him while she was unconscious.

The advocate on behalf of the accused was Advocate Vikas Pahwa along with Advocate Nitesh Rana while the public prosecutor was Manish Rawat.

The Advocate on the behalf of the accused claimed that the woman was obtaining money from him (accused) through intimidation since last year. While the accused tweeted that the allegations against him were not true and it is an attempt to target him personally and professionally.

On, Saturday the Delhi High Court granted anticipatory bail to Prince Paswan, MP of the Janshakti Party.
