The petitions have been filed challenging the constitutionality of the IT Rules 2021 which violates Article 14, Article 19(1)(a) & Article 19(1)(g) of the Constitution.
They also seeking a declaration of ultravirus and void.
On the last hearing, the bench of Madras HC had taken serious objection on this matter for the delay in filing counter affidavit by the Union Government.
Additional solicitor general who has been appeared for Union sought one last extension to submit Union’s response.
The Madras HC has granted further time to file a counter-affidavit and respond to the petitions challenging the constitutional validity of IT rules.
