On Monday, Madhya Pradesh High court extends ban on construction work at Khandari reservoir. Bench of Chief Justice Mohammad Rafiq and Justice Vijay Kumar Shukla has heard the plea.
Advocate General Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav submitted that the Jabalpur Collector has received a communication from The National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) asked him to provide requisite documents mentioned in the order passed by the High Court on July 7, 2021.
The Collector is in the process of collecting the required documents along with projects’ plan prepared by EPCO and imposed map indicating allotments that were made earlier.
The Court directed the Collector, Jabalpur to provide all the required documents and necessary information to NEERI and also appointed a senior officer to coordinate with the Scientists from CSIR-NEERI with a team to take required steps and high court also put a saty order on the construction works in the Khandari water draining area.
