A Bengaluru Special Court dropped corruption accusations on Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and eight others.
Within the order, the Court stated that the case is not acceptable in the absence of a legal penalty, and therefore should be rejected.
TJ Abraham, the President of the Anti-Graft and Environmental Forum, had filed a suit with the Special Court, alleging that nine people, including Mr Yediyurappa and a few of his close relatives, had received bribes in connection with a contract given to a privately owned company for a Bangalore Development Corporation housing plan.
