On friday, Javed Akhtar has filed application before the Bombay HC against actress Kangana Ranaut who deliberately failed to disclose facts in order to obtain a favorable order for her passport renewal.
interim application had been filed by Ranaut seeking directions so that the Regional Passport Authority, Mumbai renews her passport. Further, objection was raised by the authority due to the FIRs registered against her.
On the basis of the statement that there were no criminal case pending against the petitioners, the passport authority had assured the Court that Ranaut’s passport renewal application will be considered as expeditiously as possible.
Now, Akhtar has filed petition filed which claimed that the statement made by Ranaut is false, misleading and made with an intention to obtain a favourable order.
The complaint by Akhtar was made in an interview with Arnab Goswami which was aired by Republic TV.
