A bench of Justices Pankaj Naqvi and Jayant Banerji was hearing a plea moved by a live-in couple seeking from the Court to restrain their relatives from interfering with their lives.

“Till the next date of hearing, no one shall interfere with the peaceful living of the petitioners,” the Court said.

On the behalf of the petitioners, it was told that even though they are not formally married, yet they are living together as a couple peacefully on their own will as both of them are of the age of majority.

The Court while passing directions said the the respondents to file their responses within a month.
The matter will be heard next in the final week of August 2021.
