In a case, in which actor Rhea Chakraborty was arrested earlier, the housemate/flatmate, named Siddharth Pithani, of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was arrested on Friday by NCB for narcotics sale/consumption.

A chargesheet was filed by NCB against 33 accused including Rhea Chakraborty and his brother Showik Chakraborty, in March.

According to an official, Pithani was being charged to be part of the chain of supply of drugs in Sushant Singh Rajput case. After him, total number of arrest is now 35.

According to the official, Pithani was absconding and was not turning up even after serving him various notcies. Thereafter, through the intelligence agency, his whereabouts information was gathered and he was arrested from Hyderabad.

The official also said that he was arrested under NDPS Act, 1985. He was produced before the magistrate in Hyderabad from where his transit warrant was issued after which he was brought to Mumbai.
