On Monday, Delhi High Court issued notice in a plea seeking establishment of covid care centre having atleast 100 beds with ICU and Ventilator facilities public prosecutors and staff of Delhi Prosecution Department and their family members.
The bench observed that amid of COVID-19 the Prosecution Department is risking their lives but still serving the State as an important part of criminal justice system.Considering all these petition was filed as many Public Prosecutors were unable to access beds in hospitals of Delhi and had to move at far flung places for the purpose of treatment.
It is prayed in the petition to provide altleast 100 bed in COVID centre for Prosecution Department along with proper oxygen cylinders, vaccination, avaliable ambulances, proper medical staffs and they should treated as Frontline workers.
The Court will now hear the matter next on 4th June 2021.
