Karnatka State Bar Council has come up with a resolution to grant a sum of Rs. 10,000 to the advocates who are covid positive and are in home isolation and Rs. 25,000 to the advocates who are hospitalized.
The Bar body issued a press statement announcing this decision, which said:”In order to mitigate the sufferings of the infected Advocates, the Bar Council, in its meeting held on 7th May, 2021 has unanimously resolved to sanction a sum of Rs 10,000 to Advocates, who are tested positive for COVID-19 and who are in home quarantine and a sum of Rs 25,000 to those Advocates who are infected by COVID-19 and are hospitalized,”
press release also urged the lawyers and their families to follow COVID-19 protocol by observing social distancing, wearing masks and sanitizing and to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
The press note concluded with an assurance to all the members of the Bar and their family members that maximum possible assistance will be rendered to them by KSBC during the COVID 19 pandemic.
