A lawyer representing the Election Commission (EC) in the Supreme Court resigned from the panel of lawyers of the commission, saying that their values are not in line with the current functioning of the Election Commission.
Advocate Mohit D Ram had been working as an advocate for the commission in the Supreme Court since 2013.
He said in his resignation that,” I found that my values are not in line with the current functioning of the Election Commission and hence I free myself from the responsibilities of the advocate of its panel before the Supreme Court.”
He said, “I do smooth transfer of files, NOCs and advocates in all pending cases in our offices.”Madras High Court commented on Election Commission – Let me tell you that, amid the Corona epidemic in the country, the Election Commission had come under target for holding assembly elections in five states.
