Covid-19: Orissa HC’s advances Summer Vacation by 3 Weeks

The Orissa High Court extended its summer vacation by three weeks on Friday, citing the unprecedented outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the state.

The holiday has been extended until June 5, 2021, from May 3 to 5.

“The ensuing summer vacation of the High Court, which is scheduled to begin on May 22 and will last until June 5, 2021,” according to a notification issued by the court.

According to the notification, the High Court will reopen on June 7. However the court will remain closed from June 14 to 16 because of Raja Festival.

Because of the surge in Covid-19 cases pandemic situation, the court has issued some new Standard Operating Procedures addition to the earlier ones.
