The Calcutta High Court asked the West Bengal government to file a report in response of complaints filed by a petitioner in a petition stating that there is an acute shortage of hospital beds, oxygen cylinders and other medicines necessities.
The Court passed the order while dealing with a batch of petitions concerning the management of COVID-19 in the State.
A Bench of Chief Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan and Justice Arijit Banerjee was hearing this matter.
During the hearing, the Election Commission also said that it has prohibited all the political rallies through out the country on the of counting the votes and also on the day of declaration of election.
The Election Commission has also issued guidelines about the number of people who cn accompany the winner while collecting the election certificate.
