Based on the complaint registered by a police officer against the former Mumbai Police Commissioner, Param Bir Singh, order of second inquiry against him was passed by the Maharashtra Government led by Uddhav Thackeray.
The Director General of Police Sanjay Pandey has been asked to probe into the corruption allegations made against Param Bir by a police officer Anup Dange who after being suspended was reinstated in the force by the Maharasthra Government.
Also, the first inquiry against Singh was also being led by Pandey only which is related to Ambani terror scare case.
Moreover, the inquiry related to Singh’s not being able to produce case diaries and case development was also being handled by Pandey
