The government of India has decided that everyone above the age of 18 years can take the medicine from May 1.
In a meeting chaired by the honourable prime minister of India narendra Modi this important decision is taken that from 1st May vaccine can be given to everyone above the age of 18 years a press release issued by the ministry of Heath and family welfare.In India COVID 19 vaccination strategy was launched from 16 January, 2021 prioritising protection for Heath care workers and front line workers.
In phase -|||, it is to be also noted that national vaccine strategy aims at vaccine pricing and increasing the production and availability.
Till now india has given over 12.38 crore covid doses and some of the states are also imposing local lockdowns and weekend curfews.
From 1 May itself state governments, private hospitals and industrial establishments would be able to procure the doses of vaccine from the manufacturers.
