The Gujarat High Court took suo motu cognizance of the rise in the cases of COVID-19 in Gujarat. It also took notice of the shortage of testing facilities, beds and medical infrastructure to tackle the same.
Chief Justice Vikram Nath on Sunday stated that media reports pointed out that the state of Gujarat is heading towards a health emergency and passed an order in this regard registering the case title “In Re: Uncontrolled Upsurge and Serious Management Issues in COVID Control.”
