On Saturday, new rules, guidelines and curbs were being issued in the state of Maharashtra in order to prevent the spread of the Covid-19. The fine of not wearing mask was also increased from Rs. 200/- to Rs. 500/-.
The new rules also prohibits the gathering of more than 5 people from 8 P.M. to 7 A.M. All cinemas, gardens, pools, hotels, auditoriums, malls and restaurants to be shut down by 8 P.M..
These new guidelines will remain operative till April 15.
These guidelines came into force day after the Chief Minister Udhav Thackeray held a meeting with the district collectors and municipal Commissioners to review the Covid-19 situation.
Chief secretary Sitaram Kunte issued an order, the violation of which will attract a penalty of Rs. 1,000/- per head on the offenders.
