For the upcoming Tamilnadu Elections, DMK President MK Stalin announced that their party will waive off all the loans advanced by corporative banks to SHG.
A SELF-HELP GROUP (SHG) is a financial intermediary committee usually composed of 10 to 25 local women between 18 to 40 years.
Members of SHG also make small regular savings contributions over a few months until there is enough money in the group to begin lending.
MK Stalin also stated that he had already assured to waive jewel loans of up to five sovereigns availed by the poor, farmers and particularly women.
