The Karnataka High Court directs the state officials to be present before the court for a survey to be conducted regarding the children working in the street vending. The aim of the survey is to collect data about children who are forced to work in Street vending.
The Court observed that the stakeholders will actively participate in the occasion and give their best support in maximum possible manner.Court has directed the officials to be present before it on February 18. Many vulnerable children are harassed and forced to sell toys and other things in the street of Bangaluru.
The Court has directed to prepare a list of stakeholders and committee members. Standard operating procedure has been framed for the data of vulnerable children in various spots. In January 29, the report showed around 886 vulnerable children in various streets of the city.
The direction was given while hearing a petition filed by Letzkit foundation. The court observed that the children are deprieved of their fundamental rights under Article 21.
