A petition is dismissed by Allahabad High Court which is being filed against the allotment of land for the construction of a mosque in Dhannipur village of Ayodhya following the judgment passed by the Supreme Court in Ram Janambhomi-Babri Masjid dispute.
The petition was filed by two Delhi based sisters at Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court claiming the ownership of the 5 hectares of land which was allotted to the Uttar Pradesh Sunni waqf Central board for mosque.
However, the Additional Advocate General, Ramesh Kumar Singh contended that the plot number in the petition is different from the plot number of that 5 hectares of land which was being alloted for the mosque’s construction.
Therefore, on this ground the petition was dismissed by the Allhabad High Court.
