Recently the Central Government has proposed to stay the implementation of the three farm laws for 1.5 years, and the panel appointed by the Supreme Court has also interacted with 10 farmer organisations. Meanwhile, the farmers who are protesting at Delhi border have talked to Delhi Police Officials for organising the tractor rally on Delhi’s outer ring road.
The protest of the farmers against the three laws began on November 26.The police has termed the outer ring road as “very sensitive” but the farmers are determined to hold their rally at the proposed site only. Another meeting is expected to be held on Friday to find a way. The meeting was held at the Singhu border to discuss the route and arrangements for the tractor rally.
In the meeting, the Delhi Police suggested that the farmers take out tractor parades on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal and Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal highway outside Delhi.
Earlier, the Supreme Court declined to entertain the Centre`s plea against the tractor rally by farmers on Republic Day. The top court said it is the matter for the police to decide.
