The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested two Zambians with over 5Kg of heorin and also claimed that the smugglers are now using new channels to bring drugs in India. They also told that the drugs are of the fine quality.
The seizures were done and arrests were made last week as one among the two named Mulapi Joshua from Zambia was nabbed by the anti-drug agency from IGI airport with 4.6 Kg of heroin on 25th December. And his companion Mambwe Williams was arrested on 31st December with 700 GM’s of heroin.
They both came from Dubai and the value of the ‘fine quality’ drugs in the international market is over Rs. 22 Crores. While the normal route of smuggling drugs in the country was from Pakistan and from eastern frontiers, the officials said.
