On Wednesday, the police have seized a parcel of weapons and narcotics containing 7 Kgs of heroine and three pistols from Dera Baba Nanak sector of Gurdaspur district. The operation was being conducted jointly by the Amritsar (Rural) police and BSF.
As per the source which are not yet confirmed and corroborated, the parcel was brought into the Indian territory by a Belgium based terrorist Jagdish Singh alias Bhura, who has links in Pakistan.
A case has been registered under Section 411 and Section 414 of the IPC, Section 25 of the Arms Act and Section 21 and 23 of the NDPS Act at Gharinda Police Station.
