Only 24 hours after ruling out night curfew in Maharashtra, chief minister Uddhav Thackeray has already announced night curfew in Maharashtra for 7 hours from 11 pm-6am in all municipal areas of state.The curfew will be from 22 December to 6 January The CM move has been promted by the emergence of the UK covid mutation.
The night curfew will include establishments as well as movement of people and vehicles on roads. Christmas and new year celebrations, large gatherings, parties, functions, shops, hotels and theatres will have to mandatorily follow the curfew and end by 11 pm.
People have been advised by the state government to reach home before 11 pm and not step out till 6am except in cases of emergency.
