
Finance Minister of Turkey Berat Albayrak gave his resignation. He announced the same on Sunday and also informed to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Appointed in 2018, he chose to step down due to his health reasons. He said that he would spend time with his family. He was previously selected as Energy Minister for nearly three years.
He said, “I decided not to continue my duty as a minister after five years in office due to health problems.”
Albayrak said. “I will spend time with my mother, father, wife and children, whom I have neglected for many years out of necessity and who have never spared me their support.”
