Supreme Court upheld the Patna High Court order in granting anticipatory bail

The Apex Court of India upheld the order of Patna High Court Directing the husband to pay rupees 20000 per month to wife as a precondition for granting anticipatory bail.

The husband has approached the High Court seeking anticipatory bail apprehending arrest in a domestic violence case in which complaint is filed by his wife. While disposing his pre-arrest bail plea Supreme Court observed that divorce case between the parties is pending in the court.

Further the court allowed his plea but imposes a condition that he has to pay rupees 20000 per month as a maintenance to his wife until the case is decided.
