The officials of Visakhapatnam Port Trust have reported a fake website after a notification for trainee engineer and diploma trainee posts and collected Rs 1,200 as application fee from each of the interested candidate.
The Joint Director of the Port Trust Rajendra Kumar had filed a complaint at the Cyber Crime Police Station.The people involved in this created a fake website with a different domain, along with 2250 job posts.
As per one of the officials, it was noted that the idea came out after the original website (vizagport.com) had posted job notifications for the post of Executive Engineer (Mechanical) and Senior Signalman. The authenticity was also shared on its official website.
