Faizan Mustafa, the convenor of the Consortium of National Law Universities, speaking on its behalf has stated the successful completion of CLAT 2020 in a press note released on 28th September. The exam was said to be the most “student-friendly at their convenience” and no technical glitches had occurred.
There were 75,183 applicants for CLAT this year, out of which around 59, 334 had appeared for the exam. A centre was also provided in Lakshadweep even for a single student. 45 centres, which is the highest for any state, were provided in Uttar Pradesh.
Measures taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19 include the use of only a mouse, social distancing, isolation labs for students with high fever and allotment of four slots to avoid crowding among others.
A grievance committee would be formed and chaired by the former Chief Justice of India, Mr. Rajendra Babu. The question paper and answer key have been released on the website. Within 2 days, students will be able to access their responses too. Students can also revise their preference list.
Results shall be announced on October 5th and the admission process for all NLUs including NLSIU whose withdrawal was reversed by the Supreme Court, shall begin from October 14th.
