The Gujarat High Court has issued a Standard Operating Procedures (SoP) for resumption of Physical Hearings. The court was closed from September 12, after 12 employees tested Covid positive. Physical hearing will resume from September 16 onwards. The Court working hours would be from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The Court stated some rules that are
only those Advocates/ Party-in-Person/ Registered Clerks/ Litigants whose case is listed shall be allowed.
A system generated Email Entry Pass will be sent to registered email address of all Advocates whose matters are listed for physical hearing.
Library, Bar Association hall, Advocates’ tea room, common rooms, Advocates’ chambers and public canteen shall remain closed.
The guidelines relating to wearing mask, social distancing, satiation, hygiene, etc. shall be followed at all times.
