In accordance with the order dated 9/8/2020 the Allahabad High Court will remain closed from August 12 to August 14 considering the rapid rise in COVID19 cases in Prayagraj and Lucknow.

No Judicial as well as Administrative sections of the High Court shall function on these dates. Further, only urgent matters shall be taken up on the aforementioned dates before the Chief Justice and Senior Judge in Allahabad and Lucknow respectively.

The Stamp Reporting and Fresh Filing sections shall function with limited staff considering the backlog. However, there shall be no physical or e-filing of cases on 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th of August 2020.

Chief Justice Govind Mathur of the Allahabad High Court observed that the circumstances demanded non-sitting of courts and accordingly ordered closure on the said dates.
