Invoking of Article 32 jurisdiction in relation to activity at the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi site Supreme Court today imposed costs of Rs 1 lakh on petitioners.
Arun Mishra, BR Gavai, and Krishna Murari today disposed of the petitions with costs.
For the preservation of artefacts present at the site in Ayodhya, the petioner prayed under Article 32 jurisdiction The Court took great exception to the petitioners moving the Supreme Court.
The Apex Court refused to hear the matter, terming the pleas as “frivolous”, Senior Advocate Dr. Menaka Guruswamy sought to make submissions on behalf of the petitioners in order to explain what the pleas seek.
The Court proceeded to impose costs of Rs. 1 lakh on each of the two petitioners
