Sub-inspector Krishn Kumar Sharma, arrested on the allegation of “connivance” with Kanpur gangster Vikas Dubey, has moved the Supreme Court seeking protection from the UP Police.
Sharma through Advocate Ashwani Kumar Dubey has approached the Supreme Court apprehending that he will also be encountered by the UP Police. He has urged the court to transfer the matter to CBI or constitute a SIT, to ensure a lawful, fair, reasonable and transparent investigation.
The UP Government has formed a SIT headed by Additional Chief Secretary Sanjay Bhusreddy, to investigate the rise of involvement of the police in his deep-rooted criminal network.
The petition has been settled by Senior Advocate Ashok Kumar Sharma and drawn by Advocate Kshitij Mudgal.
