India has become the Second Largest Source of FDI for the United Kingdom

Based on the new figures, released by the government of United Kingdom, India has moved up one place to become the second-largest source of foreign direct investment (FDI) in UK in the financial year 2019 – 2020. It was the third largest FDI source in 2018 – 2029.
The top five largest source of FDI in UK included US, India, Germany, France and China and Hong Kong.
India invested in 120 projects and created 5,429 new jobs in UK, as per the inward investment statistics for 2019 – 2020 by the Department for International Trade (DIT). US delivered 462 projects and 20,131 jobs.
FDI to the United Kingdom has witnessed an overall 4 percent increase in the Financial Year 2019 -.2020 as compared to the previous Financial Year.
