Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court to hear cases through VC from July 6

Due to the recent rise in COVID19 cases, the Lucknow bench will hear cases only through Video Conferencing after the summer vacations.

The administrative order was issued on Saturday looking at the increase in containment zones in the city.

The move has however faced opposition from Lucknow’s Awadh Bar Association. The President and General Secretary of the Association expressed their discontent by referring to Video Conferencing hearing as an unsmooth procedure. The move is an unexpected one when the members of Awadh Bar Association are ready to take risk for discharging their duties.

The Chief Justice as been approched by the Governing Council of the Association to review the arrangement and continue with physical hearing.
