Due to the floods in Japan, 34dead and many are at nursing homes. Helicopters and boats have participated bih the rescue mission and rescued many of them from their homes in the Kumamoto region. More than 40,000 defense troops, the coastal guards and fire brigades also took part in the operation.
Along the Kuma river, large areas were also swallowed by the flood and many houses, villages were also submerged.
In the Kuma village an elderly care centre also lost their 14 residents and then, rest were rescued by the rescuers.
Due to floods, the facilities of powers and communication lines were also discontinued and nearly 6000 homes were still without the facilities.
