
SC asks MCA to hold meetings, Airlines to respond within 3 weeks.
The supreme court has asked all the airlines in accordance with the issue to give a full refund for the tickets booked during the Lockdown period.
The court has also directed the Ministry of Civil Aviation( MCA) to hold a meeting and solve all technical glitches on the issue

The Bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, Sanjay Kishan Kaul , and MR Shah has also given notice in response to a plea filed by travel agents on this issue.
The Court directed the MCA to hold a meeting and sort out the issues raised in a petition which states that airlines both domestic and international violating the MCA order which directs airlines to pay a full refund.
It was also discussed regarding airlines under huge stress having low revenues and a credit shell has been created by the airlines.
Justice Bhushan inquired about the credit system will they be a satisfaction to the public or refund tickets.
For the sake of travel agents, the credit system was created by the airlines as they don’t receive the full amount by the customers.
It was also argued further that the cancellation of tickets and not refunding is violating the rules of the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)
Travel agents also filed a plea in the supreme court for the same.
The airlines have 3 weeks’ time to respond.
