
Supreme Court on Tuesday said that migrants who were earlier forced to return to their native places after the cessation of employment, by police and authorities, will be treated in a good manner with all respect.
Due to the recent instances, a bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan said that the concerned Director-General of police or Police Commissioner may issue any essential direct in this regard.
The court also directed all States and Union – Territories, to transport all the migrant workers to their native places, by bus, train or any other mode in 15 days from today.
The apex court has also instructed that all the cases which are lodged against workers for allegedly disobeying social distance should be cancelled.
