The Karnataka High Court directed the Karnataka State Bar Council (KSBC) to take action against advocates who violate Standard Operating Procedure formulated for the limited functioning of courts from June 1. A complaint was reported that the advocates do not seem to be following the SOP.
Some advocates even entered the court premises without permission, and this made the Chief Justice declare that the court functioning would be closed if the SOP is not followed. The Chief Justice also questioned the Advocates Association of Bangalore and KSBC on their inability to collect funds. A committee would be constituted to collect funds for advocate clerks.
