Jharkhand High Court modified it’s previous order, instead of cancellation of Summer Vacation 2020, it has been postponed. Furthermore it has for the time being, suspended rule 228 of Jharkhand High Court rules,2001 and Rule 470 of Civil Court Rules. The aforementioned rules deal with dress code.
The court has relaxed dress code rules by temporarily doing away with gowns/robes during virtual hearings before the Jharkhand High Court or any other subordinate Court. The advocates are directed to wear plain white shirt/white salwarkameez/white saree with a white neck band.
The aforementioned rule has been suspended in order to contain the spread of Corona Virus and the same will be effective till further orders. A few days back, the Bar Council of India had also issued a similar administrative order, which shall remain in effect till further orders.
