PIL in supreme Court seeks waiver of fees for college, university students amid COVID- 19 Lock down.


The present demand by the educational institutions force parents and students to choose either basis essential commodities and there right to have education which is stopped right now.
The NGO justice for rights foundation has moved the supreme Court in this regard, seeks effective mechanism through which relief in terms of fee waiver for college and university students can be carried out.
During this time of epidemic, the apex Court direct the central to issue order or notification to state governments to provide relief, waive off or to cut of semesters fees.
As, all school, colleges are shut down since March and they will remain close for the upcoming months.
As, many of them are not financially capable to pay off.
Not only educational institutions but industries are shut down too.
The low income groups, and particularly those who belong to service sector they are not in a position to pay currently.
Either they eat or they pay for fees.
This is current scenario of the nation.
